Summary

This Notice explores the connection
between the dimensions of the small and medium-size enterprise
(SME) sector and financial development and poverty discount. A
new research finds no help for the broadly held perception that
SMEs promote increased development and decrease pover ty. But it surely does
present some help for the view that the standard of the
enterprise surroundings going through all corporations, giant and small,
influences financial development.
