Florida anglers catch record-breaking swordfish that weighs 767 kilos

4 younger Florida anglers made a record-breaking catch final week. 

Hunter Irvine, 17, Timmy Maddock, 21, Jeremy Rafferty, 21, and Jaime Johanson, 20, reeled in Florida’s largest swordfish on Jan. 20, in line with current studies. 

Other than breaking the Florida file, the 767.8-pound, 107-inch swordfish was only some kilos in need of the U.S. file for largest swordfish, the South Florida Solar-Sentinel reported Thursday.

They have been fishing about 18 miles out from Fort Lauderdale, with some uneven waves, when the “bait slacked up and the fish got here all the way in which to the floor,” Irvine advised the Solar-Sentinel.
