Deb Cantoni is the founder and owner of The Space Dance & Arts Centre in Melbourne (www.theSpace.com.au) one of Melbourne's biggest dance studios, Le Bop – Modern Jive in Melbourne, Tasmania, Auckland and Tarounga (NZ) (www.lebop.com.au) and Sp[ace] Dancewear (www.thespace.com.au/dancewear). Amongst many competition wins around Australia and internationally, Deb Cantoni has placed first in the Showcase section of the biggest Modern Jive competition in the world (the UK Open Modern Jive championships) and second in the freestyle section of that competition. In Australia, Deb has won the open freestyle and masters freestyle of every major modern jive championship in Australia including the Australian and Australasian Modern Jive Championships the most recent being in September 2009. Having completed a full time performing arts course majoring in dance, Deb also brings her general and partner dance experience to bear as an assistant choreographer and adviser in the commercial dance scene, occasionally working in the UK as well as Australia wide.
